Woodhaven sits south of Forest Park, with attached and detached houses, smaller multifamily properties, and apartment buildings. Its residential streets form a different setting from the commercial activity along Jamaica Avenue.

The elevated rail line is a prominent feature of that avenue, while interior blocks reveal porches, front yards, and varied facades. Forest Park adds a large outdoor destination along the neighborhood’s northern side.
